If you are interested in boosting your advertising campaigns and being able to approach your target audience in a more practical way, you are in the right article.
LinkedIn Ads is the perfect platform to get in touch with professionals and leading companies in your sector and achieve spectacular results with your advertisements. In this article, I explain how to import a CSV file into LinkedIn Ads.
Before entering data about our target audience in LinkedIn Ads, it's essential that we properly prepare our CSV file for that task.
Within the file we must have columns that have collected all the data of our target audience.
We must bear in mind that all the information we put in the columns is clear and properly classified.
We must delete from our file all those entries that may be found duplicates or that contain information inconsequential to our LinkedIn ads.
This will help us to ensure that all our advertising campaigns are effectively aimed at the users we want to attract to our page or our network of contacts.
Our file must have a CSV file format (values separated by a comma), so we can guarantee that our data is compatible with LinkedIn Ads.
Before uploading any of our files to the platform, we must carefully review the structure of all our data in order to prevent formatting errors that hinder the performance of our LinkedIn ad and the perception it might have.
Before you can import our CSV file to the platform, you must have access to LinkedIn Ads.
If we haven't created an account yet, we'll quickly go to the LinkedIn Ads website and create an account for our advertising campaigns.
This will take us to the main interface of the platform, where we can manage all our advertising campaigns on LinkedIn.
In the top navigation bar of LinkedIn Ads, we will find the “Public” section.
We will click on that section to be able to access our audience settings for ad campaigns.
In order to upload our CSV file, we'll need to create a new audience on the LinkedIn Ads platform. We will follow the following steps to create it:
We'll see a button to create a new audience for our advertising campaign.
We will click on it to begin the process.
We will be shown the option to upload a CSV file to LinkedIn.
We will click on “Select list” and select that CSV file that we have completed with all the data of our company.
Once we have uploaded our CSV file, the next process that we must follow is to give a name to the audience that we have created.
To more easily identify what type of audience we are referring to in our campaign, we will use a representative name.
Once we have reviewed all the fields that we must fill in and be completely sure that all the information in the document is correct, we will click on the “Accept and upload” button to complete the creation of our audience and start with our advertising campaigns.
If we have managed to follow all this process, we will have managed to create a new audience in LinkedIn Ads and we will have been able to successfully upload all the data available to our company thanks to importing CSV into LinkedIn Ads.
Once we reach this point, we can use this new audience in our advertising campaigns and we will segment your ads to the users included in the file data.
